SALLY
2023-ONGOING

Sally is an ongoing photographic project and an exploration into whether things unproven are in fact just imagination. Through the use of constructing scenes in my making and making close observations of my surroundings I create imagery that indirectly explores tales of an unexplained presence, using my imagination to bridge the gap between what is visible and what can’t be seen. I utilize the light that naturally falls within the frame but also embrace the occasional light leak that appears when shooting, using light as a tool to bring life into the imagery. When exploring an area known for its legends, tales and speculations of hauntings I try to seek the light that exists within these environments as well as the life, visible and non-visible.

This work has so far been created in the woodland and caves that surround Browns Folly, Bath. This is an ongoing exploration of this place and these ideas, in which I am continuing to research and photographically respond to.
