Sally is a photographic project and an exploration into whether things unproven are in fact just imagination. Through the use of constructing scenes and making close observations of my surroundings I create imagery that indirectly explores tales of an unexplained presence, using my imagination to bridge the gap between what is visible and what can’t be seen. I utilize the light that naturally falls within the frame but also embrace the occasional light leak that appears when shooting, using light as a tool to bring life into the imagery. When exploring an area known for its legends, tales and speculations of hauntings I try to seek the light that exists within these environments as well as the life, visible and non-visible.
This work has so far been created in the woodland and caves that surround Browns Folly, Bath.
